Čáslav Airforce Base – Infrastructure Modernization

COLAS CZ is part of a consortium led by HOCHTIEF Infrastructure, which has been awarded the contract to modernize the Čáslav military air base. The project includes infrastructure modernization, reconstruction of the runway and taxiways, as well as upgrades to airfield lighting and related systems, with our company contributing approximately 50% to the project delivery.

The modernization is essential to ensure full compliance with NATO standards for the operation of military aircraft. The project represents a key step in maintaining the operational capability of the tactical air base.

Construction works will be carried out during a planned closure of the airport from April 2026 to late 2028.

The total contract value is approximately EUR 220 million.

The modernized Čáslav Air Base will be adapted for the operation of F-35 fighter jets procured by the Czech government.
